Living Stones is an ecumenical trust seeking to promote contact between Christian communities on Britain and those in the Holy Land and neighbouring countries. It is a UK registered charity (Reg. Charity No. 1081204).
Living Stones publishes a magazine twice a year and organises two conference days. Additionally, the Michael Prior Memorial Fund, established in memory of the late Revd Professor Michael Prior CM (a founder member of Living Stones and a fearless and vocal advocate of the rights of Palestinians) supports higher academic studies of Palestinian students in such subjects as Contextual Palestinian Christian Theology, Holy land Studies and Contextual Pilgrimage and Tourism in the Holy Land, by providing scholarships and bursaries.
Current spiritual patrons are Archbishop Elias Chacour, Bishop Suheil Duwani, Patriarch Gregorious III, Bishop Giantos-Boulos Marcuzzo, Patriarch Emeritus Michel Sabah, Bishop Theodosios of Sebastia, Archbishop Yegishe Gizirian, Very Revd. Dr. David Hope Metropolitan Kallistor of Diokleia, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor, Archbishop Vincent Nichols, Canon Paul Ostreicher and Revd. Baroness Kathleen Richardson.
