Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in Jerusalem, January 2018:
An 11-day programme encompassing the Week of Prayer, which will be Saturday 20th – Sunday 28th January 2018
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in Jerusalem team organise a schedule of services in churches of different denominations throughout the week. Our presence is greatly appreciated and eagerly welcomed.
In 2018 our progamme will run from pick up at the airport on the evening of Friday 19th January through to lunchtime on Tuesday 30th January. Besides joining in the ecumenical programme of services in Jerusalem, we will visit different communities in the West Bank and Israel, to understand the context within which the indigenous Christians practice their faith. We will include the Negev, Bethlehem and Hebron, Ramallah and Nablus, and finish with a night or two in Sebastiya.
We will be based at the Knights Palace Hotel, New Gate, on half-board. We anticipate the price, without flights, to be £1100 in a shared room or £1400 single (depending on dollar exchange rate). EasyJet flights from Luton are about £200.
Other options: If you cannot come for the entire 11 days, why not join us for the Week of Prayer only, arriving Saturday 20th and leaving Sunday 28th January? Or maybe you have a small group who would like to extend your stay with a visit to the Galilee before or after? Please let us know.
You can find more general information about our approach to pilgrimage on our pilgrimage principles and aims document, and take a look at the slide sets below to get an idea of our unique itineraries.
If you would like to join us, or just want to know more, please contact Jo on email@example.com.
