UK Government Position on Israeli Annexation of Palestinian West Bank

This is a copy of a letter from Dominic Raab, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, to Priti Patel, MP for Witham and Home Secretary. who had contacted Dominic Raab in response to an enquiry to her from Colin South as a member of her constituency.

Colin had asked Priti for the official government position on and its present reaction to  the  continuing annexation of the West Bank and areas of Jerusalem as part of Israeli Government policy and its seeming endorsement by the government of the  United States.

Dominic Raab’s statement is useful and might be worth exploring further. There are other issues around relationships between our Government and the behaviour of the Government of the State of Israel that migth be worth exploring with our MPs.

Obtaining statements from Government Ministers particularly in relation to breaches of international law, land issues as well as  international human rights, might be very helpful to the Living Stones community in enabling some further challenge of the behaviour of the State of Israel where actions discriminate against the rights of Palestinian /Arab Communities of the West Bank and Israel and to encourage our government to make more of a spirited  and principled stand against such violations.
